Prior to burning, please call  Gillespie County Communications Dispatch at 830-990-8793 option 1. 
Staff check the weather to make sure it is safe and mark it on the map incase anyone calls in the burn.
In an Emergency, Dial 9-1-1
If you plan to burn your property, then you must call the Gillespie County / Fredericksburg Fire-EMS Dispatch Office at 830-990-8793 option 1 and give your name and location of the burn. 
Also, you should call Willow City Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department's Fire Chief Stanley D. Rabke at 817-395-3881 to let him know of your intentions and if you might need any necessary equipment, trucks and personnel on standby.  Please check the weather conditions daily for three days in advance of your burn project for wind and humidity.  If it will be windy or register a low humidity, then do not burn during that time.  Your burn project must not be started until one hour after sunrise and all visible flames must be extinguished one hour before sunset (per the TCEQ Publication "Outdoor Burning in Texas").
